My lures really do most of the work for you, just cast them out and give them a slight twitch or two, and then pause, reel in the slack, and wait a few seconds to let it fall before twitching again. When you pause your retreive the lure is falling slowly, and it wobbles side to side mimicking a dying baitfish - an easy meal that trout cannot resist. I like to cast them out and count down to the depth the fish might be at, so if they are in 5 feet of water, count the lure down to 5 seconds to get it in the strike zone.
