My lures really do most of the work for you, just cast them out and give them a slight twitch or two, and then pause. By twitch I am referring to just a light sweep of the rod you do not want to overwork the lure - they will most likely hit it on the pause of your retrieve. When you pause your retreive I like to give some slack to the line and as the lure slowly sinks it wobbles side to side mimicking a dying baitfish - an easy meal that trout cannot resist. I like to cast them out and count down to the depth the fish might be at, so if they are in 5-6 feet of water, count the lure down to 5 seconds to get it in the strike zone.  I love fishing them over ledges and drop offs that the trout will sit in waiting to ambush their next prey!
